Upon successfully completing the acquisition of a major financial institution, the Client sought guidance and hands-on assistance in migrating the multi-billion-dollar investment portfolio of the acquired company into a single, consolidated portfolio with its acquirer. Specifically, the Client needed support coordinating a complex migration across multiple platforms and disciplines, including portfolio management, investment accounting, collateral management, middle office functions, back-office settlement, and custodian services. The migrating portfolio contained multiple asset classes and included securities hedged against derivative products and pledged in borrowing.
