Mark Garman is a Senior Manager at Reference Point with experience in managing professional transformation projects and analyzing PMO effectiveness. He specializes in governance, M&A / divestitures, risk management, transformation programs, and overall project delivery. Mark has 25+ years’ experience leading business and technology groups in guiding change, solving problems, and seizing opportunities through creating reusable operational processes, implementing technology, and best practices. Mark is professional with a unique blend of business and technology experiences, effective at liaising between business and technology as well as communicating with integrity to all levels of an organization.
Over the last several years, Mark managed transformational efforts including digital transformation, M&A integration, divestitures, data center consolidations, business resiliency, and virtual desktop implementation programs. In addition, he played a consultative role assisting clients implementing solutions in foreign exchange trading, real estate portfolio management, and risk management. Mark worked at industry leaders which include AIG, Interactive Data Corporation, Bank of America, SunGard, State Street Bank, Fidelity Investments, and Digital Equipment Corporation. In addition, he has published several articles on risk management, change leadership, and M&A.
Mark earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business from Indiana University, Kelley School of Business and a Master’s degree in Computer Information Systems at Boston University. He is a Certified Project Manager (CPM) from the Project Management Leadership Group and a Certified Change Professional from APMG.
