In preparation for future organizational expansion targets, the Client sought expertise and strategic support across the initial discovery phase of transformation efforts around their digital HR platform. More specifically, the client required a strategic assessment that would allow them to surface key gaps, pain points, and opportunities for improvements in employee usage of internal HR platforms. Additionally, the client sought findings and recommendations that would orient the strategic direction for future solution design, architecture, and implementation efforts. As a strategic partner, Reference Point successfully delivered against the stated goals of the engagement, setting the Client up well to achieve their long-term goals and objectives. Key findings and recommendations included avenues for improving employee efficiency and experience, increasing accessibility of information, enhancing reporting and analytics, enabling data-driven financial planning, and empowering leadership with data-driven decisions.

Solution

  • Reference Point (RP) deployed a focused team with extensive experience in people analytics, data analytics, digital organizational transformations, technical transformations, Design Thinking, change management, and program management.
  • The team conducted user research via survey data analysis, Design Thinking workshops, and focus group sessions and leveraged the outcomes of research and sessions to develop key user personas and journey maps.
  • Additionally, the team assessed current state digital capabilities and technical architecture, which informed the development of future state digital architecture recommendations.
  • The current state findings and future state recommendations supported the assembly of a strategic roadmap and mobilization plan for HR platform Transformation.

Impact

  • The client identified key areas of focus for future improvements based specifically on RP’s observations, recommendations, and detailed work packages; the detailed findings and user-centric recommendations will also be directly used to develop business requirements.
  • Reference Point also delivered a business objectives prioritization tool and utilized it in a workshop with client stakeholders in order to help them determine and calculate the prioritization and weighting of their top goals.
  • The RP team remains connected with the client team and was recently engaged to deliver a detailed walkthrough and recommendation of the client’s planned organizational-wide intranet transformation initiative.
