Steve Hook is a Senior Partner at Reference Point and leads the firm's Technology & Data services. Steve has over 28 years of experience in capital markets technology roles, from application development to the CIO level. He has a distinguished track record of leading large global organizations and has built strong partnerships with all levels of business and operational management. Throughout his career, Steve has helped these organizations define strategic objectives and build the functions and project portfolios to achieve them. He has experience assisting organizations to maintain financial discipline and optimize significant operational budgets, all while fostering a culture of operational stability and control.
Prior to joining Reference Point, Steve held various C-level positions at multiple industry leading financial institutions. At Credit Suisse, he served both as Chief Information Officer for Global Markets and as Chief Technology Officer for Investment Bank Risk Technology, where he defined and implemented successful global markets technology and risk management programs. Previously, Steve was Chief Business Technologist at J.P. Morgan for both the Global Electronic Client Solutions and the Global Equity Capital Markets divisions.
