Director, Digital Transformation
Rebecca Jones is a Director at Reference Point with over 15 years of leadership in financial services across both consumer banking, including credit cards, retail banking, and payments, as well as institutional banking, including sales and trading, commercial banking, treasury services, investment servicing, and their supporting operations and technology functions. She is a proven expert in architecting holistic digital-first business and product strategies for multi-billion dollar business lines as well as implementing multi-year client-centric culture transformations at large, complex financial services institutions that have delivered demonstrable results across return on investment, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
Prior to joining Reference Point, Rebecca most recently led the commercialization of BNY Mellon’s industry-first Real-Time Payments capability with the Federal Reserve as part of the bank’s newly established Payments Center of Excellence. Prior to that role, Rebecca was Chief Administrative Officer for Global Investment Services, the bank’s largest business line accounting for approximately 80% of the bank’s revenue, where she headed the digital-first, client-centric transformation efforts for the CEO. Prior to joining BNY Mellon, Rebecca spent over six years with Citigroup, where she last was Senior Vice President and Chief of Staff for Citi FinTech, the division responsible for defining and delivering the radically simple, connected “Bank of Tomorrow” across the Global Consumer Bank’s 19 markets. Prior to that, Rebecca was Chief of Staff for the Payments Center of Excellence, where she oversaw the bank’s digital payments strategy and the delivery of key initiatives, such as Apple Pay, which Citigroup was one of six launch partners for. Earlier in her career, Rebecca held various leadership roles at Lord Abbett, FGIC, Bridgewater, and Fieldpoint Private.
Rebecca is finishing a PhD in Organizational Leadership from Regent University, holds an MBA from University of New Haven, and a BA in Philosophy.
